PASTIE SALE – Our thanks to everyone who helped with our pastie making and sale last weekend. Nearly 200 were made. We still have some available that we have frozen for purchase, please contact Stephen Mykulyn (570-825-0902) if you are interested in purchasing a few.
TURKEY-FEST – On Saturday, November 3rd from 2 to 7 pm we will host Our 19th Annual Turkey-Fest in our school hall. This event features a traditional turkey dinner, festival games and raffles. Dinners will be $11.00 for adults and $7.00 for children. Eat-In or Take-out. Walk-Ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Letters will be distributed at Liturgies and Reservations and Returns may be dropped in the collection basket. Bring your friends and family. Non-perishable food items will be collected for donation to a local food pantry. Receive a ticket for each item donated at the dinner for our special food drive raffle.
DINNER DONATIONS NEEDED – The following items are needed for the Turkey-Fest, please contact Stephen Mykulyn (570-825-0902) if you’d like to make a donation. Some of the items needed include; Coffee (regular and decaf), Soda (2-liter bottles), Margarine (in sticks), Aluminum Foil, Plastic Wrap, Apple Sauce, Cranberry Sauce, W-B City Garbage Bags. BAKED GOODS NEEDED AS WELL. We’ll need baked goods for desserts and for Baba’s Bake Sale.
FOOD DRIVE – Our annual food drive is underway. Your donations of non-perishable food items will go to help the less fortunate in our community. The drive will continue through October and into November at our Turkey-Fest and finish up the second weekend in November. All items will then be delivered to the Saints Peter and Paul Food Pantry in Plains. Donations Crates will be set up in the church basement for you to drop off your items or bring your item to the Turkey-Fest and enter into our special raffle.
BASKET AUCTION – Our Basket Auction Raffle CONTINUES… YOU CAN STILL BUY TICKETS! We started selling tickets at our Rummage Sale and at our Pastie Sale Pick Up. We will continue to sell ticket up to and at our Turkey-Fest on November 3rd. Your bid is placed by purchasing chances ($1.00 each or 10 for $5.00) and placing your ticket in the barrel for the prize you’d like a chance at winning. Near the end of the Turkey-Fest on November 3rd, we’ll draw tickets from each of the prize barrels and you may just be the lucky winner. New prizes will be added so be sure to check out our display in the School Hall again and again.
