HOLY DAY LITURGIES – Please note that Liturgies in anticipation of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Exhaltation of the Cross will be celebrated the evening before the holy days at 6:30 PM.
WEEKDAY LITURGIES – Please note that weekday liturgies will now be celebrated at 9:00 AM.

CEMETERY COMMITTEE MEETING – There will be a meeting of the Cemetery Committee in the lower level of the church on Tuesday, September 15th at 6:00 p.m. All members are asked to attend.
FINANCE COMMITTEE TO MEET – Members of the Parish Finance Committee will conduct their monthly meeting on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the basement of the church. Please notify Rita Katulka if you are unable to attend.
MONTHLY PARISH MEETING – For the months of July and August the Parish Meeting will take a break. Should the need arise, a special meeting will be called. Our Monthly parish meetings are held on the Fourth Tuesday of each month to discuss and coordinate cooperatively the work of the parish. The next Monthly Meeting will be held on, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the Lower Level of the Church. Please note the change in date due to the Priest Retreat.

LUC MEETING – LUC North Anthracite Council will meet on Sunday, September 13th at 3:00 p.m. at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 430 North 7th Avenue, Scranton. Moleben for the Canonization of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky at 3:00 p.m., meeting and fellowship to follow. Members are asked to attend, guests are always welcome. Janina Everett, 759-2824.
TRANSFIGURATION FLEA MARKET – The annual flea market and rummage sale will be held in the church hall, Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hanover Section, Nanticoke, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 4, 5, and 6, 2009 from 9am to 5pm. Bag Day will be on September 6 from 2pm to 5pm.
BERWICK CRAFT SALE – SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Warren Street & First Avenue, Berwick will hold their Annual Craft Sale on Saturday, October 31st from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Come shop for the holidays. Lunch will be available from 11:00 AM with a variety of ethnic foods and baked goods. UKRAINIAN DINNER – Saturday, September 19, 2009, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.: The Presentation Ukrainian Catholic Church will host “A Traditional Ukrainian Dinner” at its social hall, 1564 Allentown Road, Lansdale (Towamencin Township), PA.
